TL;DR: Plumbing emergency in NWA? Franklin runs same-day urgent service calls across Northwest Arkansas — burst pipes, major leaks, no water, sewer backups. $29 service call with an all-in repair quote before any work begins.
What counts as a plumbing emergency
Not every plumbing problem needs a same-day plumber, but these absolutely do:
Burst or leaking pipe. Water actively coming out of a pipe, wall, or ceiling. Shut off the main water valve to your house first — then call us.
No water at all. Whole-house outage with no obvious cause (e.g., not the city water main being worked on). Could be a well pump, pressure tank, frozen line, or a busted main line.
Sewer backup. Water or waste coming up through a tub, shower, or floor drain. Stop using all water in the house and call.
No hot water in winter. Especially with a baby, elderly resident, or anyone with medical needs in the house. We treat this as urgent.
Gas leak smell near a water heater or gas line. Leave the house first, call your gas utility, then call us once the gas is shut off.
What to do BEFORE we arrive
A few minutes of action up front can save thousands in water damage:
1. Shut off the main water valve to the house. Usually outside near the foundation, in the garage, or in a basement utility area. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
2. Turn off the water heater. If you’ve lost water entirely, turn the heater’s gas valve to “pilot” or flip the breaker for an electric unit. Running an empty tank will burn out the elements.
3. Document everything with photos and video. Time-stamped phone photos of the leak, the damage, and any ruined belongings. Your insurance company will ask.
4. Move valuables and electronics out of the affected area. Lift furniture legs onto foil or blocks if you can’t move it.
Hours, response time, and the after-hours fee
Franklin’s standard hours are Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm. During those hours, same-day or next-day service is the norm except for periods of extremely high demand — severe cold snaps, storm events, and the occasional heat wave can stretch our schedule.
After-hours service is a flat $60 on top of the $29 service call. “After-hours” is Monday through Friday 5pm–7pm, and all day Saturday (7am–7pm). Outside those windows you’ll reach our voicemail, and we’ll route genuinely urgent calls to the on-call plumber when one is available.
If your situation is genuinely time-critical and you’ve got the main water shut off, you’re generally fine to wait until the next morning — the damage is already done at that point and a few hours doesn’t change much.
