If we end up doing the repair, every job is backed by the Franklin Service Guarantee. Learn more.
TL;DR: If another company in NWA has recommended a major repair or replacement, Franklin will send a technician out to verify the diagnosis at no charge — you bring the original quote, we bring an honest second opinion. No obligation to use us if we confirm the issue.
Honest second opinions — at no cost
Received a quote for a major repair that seems too high or a diagnosis you’re not sure about? Before you commit, let one of our experienced technicians provide a free, independent assessment. We’ll thoroughly inspect your system, confirm (or correct) the original finding, and clearly explain all of the available options — not just the most expensive one. The goal is simple: give you the information you need to make the right call for your home and your budget.
Why customers choose Franklin
Customers choose Franklin because we’re a family-owned and operated business that genuinely puts our customers first. Our philosophy isn’t about maximizing profits on every job; it’s about building a good reputation in our community by providing honest work at a fair price.
In terms of actual policy, that means using a flat-rate, no-surprise pricing structure so you know the full cost before work starts — eliminating any worry about hidden fees or technicians “milking the clock.” It means selling proven, reliable brands so our customers get years of trouble-free service out of their equipment, and easy access to parts when something does break. And most importantly, it means a company culture that celebrates integrity and solving problems for customers — not just selling new systems to them.
What qualifies as a “major” repair?
Generally, any single-component repair quoted at $500 or more, or any full-system replacement recommendation — across HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. Common examples: compressor failures, heat exchanger cracks, refrigerant leak diagnoses with refill quotes in the four figures, water heater replacement recommendations, sewer line replacement recommendations, electrical panel replacements. If you’re unsure whether your situation qualifies, just give us a call.
What you need to qualify
Two things:
1. A written or electronic invoice from the other company — a licensed contractor in the area — showing the diagnosis and quoted repair price. This is how we know what to verify and protects everyone’s time.
2. One free second opinion per customer. If you’ve already had us out for one, our standard $29 service call applies to any follow-up second-opinion visits.

Brett did a great job fixing our AC. Quickly diagnosed the problem and corrected it. Very friendly.
I had a condensor fan lock up for a day on my residential HVAC unit and don't currently have the tools to diagnose the main culprits that usually cause that, so I called Franklin based on the reviews. My tech, Fransisco, was great. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and kept me informed the entire call out. I know mobile HVAC pretty well (although I'm about 10 years outdated) so I appreciated him speaking with me on my level and educating me where I was deficient. Nothing at all to criticize. My capacitor was bad, which Fransisco confirmed with me by showing the manufacturer resistance ratings and what his multimeter was reading. The price to replace it was a little high, I thought, but probably competitive these days. I'd rather spend it on a smaller, local business who hires good people than give money to a big corporate chain, anyway. I feel like Franklin cares about doing a good job and leaving behind happy clients after my experience.
Lee Roberts did an excellent job checking out our HVAC system to ensure all was well. Would recommend him any time.
